Codelitt is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer with experience building highly complex applications. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a WordPress application and PHP APIs.
You will work together with an engineering team, a designer, and a project manager to achieve the goals of the application.
Responsabilities
- Work with product technical leads to design new products or enhancements
- Creative and self-reliant contributions to our codebase
- Maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere as a humble member of our team
- Take initiative to better your skills as a developer and thus also our products
- Developing and maintaining the current code base within our team, while always following best practices
- Self-reliant work on assigned items of different scope sizes and teamwork when working as part of a team
- Follow instructions from our Lead Developers and project leads
- Documenting your work through Azure DevOps
- Performs the unit testing, system integration testing and assist with user acceptance testing
- Debugging and troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- A B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required
- 7 years of experience within IT
- Expert-level knowledge of WordPress Core and theme and plugin development with a strong understanding of all commonly used web technologies - JavaScript (jQuery, Backbone.js), PHP, HTML, CSS, LESS
- MySQL and related WordPress Database technologies
- API Design concepts and development of RESTful web services using WordPress
- Deep knowledge of architecture principles such as OOP and DRY
- Used to large software repositories and their implications
- Experienced in working with git repositories
- Write clean, self-explanatory code; well documented where needed
- Desire to stay up to date with WordPress developments
- Experienced in working with Grunt
- Work in a remote position and around deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Architecting and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure
- Experience using DevOps Tools for CI/CD
- Experience with Tools and Best Practices for Secure Application Development
- Converting UI/UX graphic designs into WordPress compatible HTML
In 1 Month, you'll:
- Get an understanding of the engineering department processes, tools, and practices
- Understand the project architecture and goals

- Start a mentorship process with the Chief Technology Officer
In 3+ Months, you'll:
- Own the project from an engineering point of view
