WordPress Designer

We are seeking a talented and creative contract WordPress designer with 5+ years experience in designing engaging and innovative websites who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. This is a remote position however, you MUST be located in the USA.

Our Ideal Candidate:

You should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. You will create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client. Prior experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designing and building the website front-end
• Creating the website architecture
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
• Generating WordPress themes and plugins
• Conducting website performance tests
• Troubleshooting content issues
• Conducting WordPress training with the client
• Monitoring the performance of the live website
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail
• Communicate in a professional manner through verbal and written mediums
• Interface with company executives, and others on deadlines, expectations, and deliverables

Qualifications:

• Professional experience (5 years) and passion for strategic creative design work
• BA/BS in Art, Graphic Design, or Marketing, or equivalent work experience
• Dedication to team success and commitment to company excellence is critical
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to present information – concisely and effectively
• Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and work independently
• Digital and social media marketing experience is an advantage
• An active portfolio of recent work
