Job Summary
Auburn University Housing is seeking a dependable undergraduate student worker with initiative and excellent problem-solving skills to expand and maintain the department’s website and serve as the Sharepoint administrator.
This on-campus job requires up to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:45am – 4:45pm weekdays. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Business Operations.

Essential Functions
The position is responsible for ensuring an aesthetically pleasing web presence that is error free, easy to navigate, and in compliance with AU website standards. The position is responsible for timely website revisions, submitting monthly analytics reports, and collaborating with the department graphic designer. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, willing to learn, and can effectively communicate technical aspects of web development to those with no web development expertise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with various professional staff
  • Ability to plan for and meet development deadlines
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with web design (UI/UX)
  • Experience with comprehending, interpreting, and sharing Google Analytics data
  • Ability to document code for readability and implementing good coding standards


Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Must be available to work at least 20 hours a week during office business hours.
  • Office business hours are from 7:45am-4:45pm Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Web development on Adobe Dreamweaver using Auburn University’s adaptation of the Bootstrap framework
  • Web development and content curation using a WordPress site.
  • Creating and maintaining SharePoint websites using various other Office 365 services like Microsoft Flow, Teams, and Nintex Forms
