US | UK Freelance Remote Position

CBR is looking for a dedicated Anime List Editor to provide anime-related coverage on our team. Are you a pop-culture enthusiast dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest anime news and rumors? Do friends constantly tease you about being a grammar nerd? Do you regularly fight the urge to fix people's written work? Is wordplay fun for you?

As a Freelance Anime List Editor for CBR, you will work with a dedicated remote editorial team to create original and informative articles that our discriminating audience demands, with the eye-catching aesthetic they crave.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure articles meet CBR’s publishing guidelines & make corrections where necessary
• Identify opportunities for list articles to feature on CBR.com
• Craft headlines, blurbs, and peripheral text to capture new and existing traffic
• Incorporate SEO best practices into articles
• Work closely with freelance writers and provide feedback whenever necessary
• Work with platforms such as WordPress, Asana, and Slack

What we can expect:

• 50 edited posts per week
• Excellent command of the English language
• Broad working knowledge of all things anime
  • Knowledge of the following franchises a strong plus: Naruto, Dragon Ball, Avatar/Korra, One Piece, Bleach, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Pokemon, Hunter X Hunter
• Relevant experience in writing and/or editing a plus
