Lux Consulting Group, Inc. (Lux) is a professional services firm that helps government and non-government clients manage social programs and science programs.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced expert WordPress Developer to upgrade pages to the new Gutenberg block formats (away from Visual Composer), move to a new resource library, document processes, and catalog search data.

This a an ideal role for someone with 1-3 years of experience with WordPress, looking to work on a short term project (6-8 weeks) that may lead to a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

Move pages to the new Gutenberg block format.

Complete an overall review of the website and propose changes for improving user
experience.

Provide a technical audit of the site architecture. Contractor should suggest
and implement improvements for the desktop, mobile and tablet interfaces.

Modify or duplicate the website’s Resource Library to include a data catalog with
relevant datasets.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years in WordPress, website design, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of CSS, HTML, JavaScript.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience developing websites for government clients.
• Basic knowledge of environmental themes and issues is a plus.
• Knowledge of WordPress plugin development, PHP, and theme development a plus.
