WordPress Web Developer

About You

Airship is seeking a WordPress / Web Developer to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have industry experience working on a range of marketing solutions including but not limited to WordPress, WordPress templates, custom query development, responsive design, Javascript, Marketo, Integrate, Google Tag Manager and Saleasforce.

The candidate is very collaborative and will involve taking these skills and applying them to help grow Airship across all channels. You’ll be on the frontlines to help lead a fast-growing, profitable startup to scale internationally. You’ll work closely with seasoned and extremely talented leaders to help manage and execute our code base.

You should have extensive experience (multiple years) as a WordPress Developer in frontend and backend development, and have some background in cloud infrastructure deployment, migration, GitHub, load balancing and code scaling. You will take and run software development from concept to execution and should be an extraordinary programmer, have incredible attention to detail, be able to manage up, and keep the team on task.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain highly scalable WordPress environments to keep up with Airship's massive growth.

• Create a very agile approach on integrating with Wordpress, Integrate, Marketo and Salesforce to meet all marketing and sales requirements.

• Be excellent in following DevOps practices to maintain Airship's WordPress codebase, database and staging/production deployment.

• 3+ years of experience in doing high performance Web development to help us maintain our highly ranked web vital score.

• Maintain our Google Cloud / Pantheon.io environment

• Proficiency in WordPress development

• Custom theme development

• Custom page template development

• Custom query development using PHP and MySQL

• Conducting website performance tests

• Troubleshooting content issues

• Conducting WordPress training with the client

• Experience using WordPress plugins

• Experience using Git versioning tools

• Experience WordPress WPML

• Monitoring the performance of the live website

• Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery

• Proficiency in Marketo development

• Excellent communication skills

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science

• Experience with SaaS sell cycle
