Learning Technology Designer (Seasonal)

Job Summary:

This seasonal CT position is responsible for the creation, development and sustainment of web-based and mobile applications to support Sales, Services and Events. These applications function as sales tools, reference websites, video delivery platforms, training aids, content delivery platforms, process automation tools and tracking systems within Cast Member and Travel Industry education. You will also be accountable for the daily publishing of content into internal web applications and content management systems, such as Service Now, WordPress and custom CMSs, and developing functionality from our roadmap for enhancements and recommending appropriate solutions for our Cast and Clients using these tools. You will make independent HTML coding and graphics decisions, writing/editing decisions within deliverables, partners directly with clients to solve needs within the web publishing project and performs troubleshooting within the systems and tools that will be used in the position . This position is tasked with independent web development and coding based on seasonal product timelines. You will report to the Learning Technology Design Manager.

Responsibilities:

You Will:

  • Publish content on internal web publishing platforms based on client requests and scheduled changes.
  • Review content in web content management systems to ensure it is accurate, and pertains to the business.
  • Leverage advanced web development skills (HTML, JavaScript and CSS programming/coding) to overcome limitations of the content management/publishing platforms.
  • Determine the platforms and structures that are created by the team-defining the parameters for work, technologies used and overall technical direction of the team.
  • Perform complex programming tasks beyond scripting languages using programming languages like PHP, Perl, Swift, Objective-C, SQL, Bootstraps and Cocoa when producing applications for web and mobile platforms.
  • Develop artwork and visual elements (graphic design) for web-based and mobile applications. This includes development of user interface (UX) elements to aid operation and navigation on websites and mobile applications.
  • Develop mobile sales tools as complete custom web applications.


Basic Qualifications:

You Have:

  • Advanced HTML scripting, CSS/Frameworks, Advanced JavaScript programming
  • Advanced PHP programming, Apple Swift / Cocoa / Objective-C
  • SQL programming skills, Adobe Suite
  • Advanced user interface graphic design skills
  • 2+ years of experience developing complex web applications using content management systems and web publishing technologies
  • Angular/React experience is a plus


Required Education

  • 2 year college degree (or equivalent) in Digital Media, Web Development, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Online/Web Technology or equivalent experience
