WordPress Plugin Developer

Hi, I’m Haris Zulfiqar, ex-CTO and co-founder of Avada WordPress theme. I have started a new undisclosed project which is currently under development.

I’m looking for a full-time employee who will work alongside me as a plugin developer to launch the initial version.

Your main job will be assisting me in continuous development of the plugin which includes creating new features, fixing bugs and improvements.

This is a FULLY remote position with flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Finding simple and efficient solutions to achieve the goal of a task. Simplicity is important.
• Ability to commit to a regular working schedule AND in case of a change, communicate and plan effectively.
• Excellent upfront communication skills to keep me in loop.
• Demands and asks for explanation and details in order to understand the task.
• Team player focused on achieving the task in the most responsible way possible.
• Small tasks, medium tasks, big tasks – must be willing to work with all sorts of tasks.

Requirements

• Experience with developing extensible WordPress plugins. Writing new features, maintaining old code or fixing bugs.
• Understanding of Core WordPress plugin development and the APIs.
• Advanced proficiency with PHP, HTML, CSS, Vanilla Javascript, jQuery, etc.
• Writing self-explanatory code in most cases. I prefer simple and self-documenting code. Simplicity is a core value.
• Be able to use Git and manage tasks on Github.
• Personal computer with stable internet access.
• Previous freelance/remote experience is preferred.
