THE ROLE
Archer Education has a suite of WordPress websites that provide information to prospective students about available programs and careers. This position will be responsible for overseeing all technical requirements related to these sites, as well as any new WordPress sites the company might build or acquire. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer.
This is a full-time remote role.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Website development in WordPress, both on the front and back-end.
• Collaborate with product and marketing on designing new website features and enhancements.
• Implement and manage security policies for our WordPress properties.
• Oversee WordPress administration - monitoring, backups, etc.
• Streamline the management of multiple WordPress instances through reusable software, configuration, and processes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing web solutions in WordPress.
• Ability to execute the full software life-cycle development process - from architecture and development to debugging and maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of WordPress development.
• Ability to implement basic front-end interfaces in HTML/CSS
• Basic database maintenance skills.
• Mastery of WordPress plugin configuration and implementation.
• Experience with version control systems (git)
• Basic knowledge of website security.
• Good communication skills, especially with non-technical co-workers.
