Hello prospective pickle!
Design Pickle is looking for an experienced Wordpress Developer to join our marketing team! This role will be responsible for the development of landing pages, features, and systems on our marketing website, as well as building and maintaining responsive, performant, and well-designed web pages across the Design Pickle website.
You will work directly with the Website Experience Manager to develop and implement new tools, functions, and experiences on the website that support customer acquisition objectives.
Reports to: Website Experience Manager
Location: Anywhere. Design Pickle is a fully remote company with a Company Hub in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Specific to this role, we're looking for individuals who have…

• Enthusiasm for our mission: To be the most helpful creative company in the world
• Minimum of 3 years of experience and success developing, maintaining, and optimizing Wordpress-based websites
• Good understanding of web technologies used in Wordpress development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
• High-level knowledge of the Wordpress ecosystem, including experience with custom themes and post types
• Extensive knowledge of CSS
• Experience building websites with the Elementor Wordpress plugin
• A love of technical problem solving
• Strategic and creative approach to solving UI/UX challenges
• Experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
• Some experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience working with marketing teams

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

• Developing new interactive, beautiful, and performant pages
• Regular maintenance and updates of Design Pickle's websites
• Converting layouts and wireframes into working webpages
• QA & testing of the Design Pickle marketing website
• Create visual and technical consistency between the many website pages
• Identification of areas of opportunity for technical and performance improvements, and implementing solutions around those opportunities
• Work with other Design Pickle teams as a technical resource to help them with other Wordpress-based websites
• Provide regular updates about the status of the website, including what's changed, and what's in the queue to be update
• Spend time learning Design Pickle's target audiences - their pain points and buying behavior.
• Work with the Website Experience Manager to learn the ins and outs of the Design Pickle website.
• Learn the Design Pickle brand and how to effectively implement it on the web.
• Learn about the multiple Design Pickle web properties, and how they work together.
• Redevelop legacy pages on the main Design Pickle website to match our current brand.
