Wordpress Developer

Based in Newbury, West Berkshire (just off the M4/A34) MAXX is a marketing agency with a 25-year history working with many well-established UK and international companies across multiple sectors including, technology, education, healthcare, not-for-profit etc.

We are looking for a well-rounded PHP developer with experience in Drupal and WordPress.

Job functions:

• Work with our client services team and designers to build new websites showing a good understanding of interpreting specifications and briefs
• Carry out updates and maintenance on a number of the 100+ websites we host and manage for our clients - this specifically includes a short-term requirement to migrate a number of sites from Drupal7 to Drupal9.
• Make proactive suggestions to accounts handlers around possible site improvements specifically regarding Google CWV.
• Have an eye for modern and efficient web development trends and best practices

Reporting directly to the Head of Digital.

Desired Experience & Credentials:

• 3+ years of experience working as a PHP developer
• Qualifications or equivalent experience in web development
• Proven track record of successful project builds in both Drupal and WordPress
• Experience with Continuous Integration is highly desirable
• Not required but ideal ability using any of the following PM & design software: Trello, Freedcamp, XD, Figma, Photoshop etc.

Benefits

Salary £30,000 to £40,000 DOE

Hybrid working (A mix of remote and office working)
