WordPress Developer (FT)

Are you an experienced WordPress Web Developer with at least 2-3 years+ of experience based within commuting distance of London, Liverpool Street?


This an amazing and rare opportunity to join a fast-growing business incubator and digital agency.


An exciting opportunity exists for a talented WordPress Web Developer to join a very employee focussed organisation using your WordPress experience.


Your role will further develop the impressive high-traffic WordPress-based websites from start to finish and work alongside a really impressive and inspirational team.


You will have full input into the direction of projects and work closely with key people within the business - ultimately becoming a core part of the team.


The Role


As a Web Developer, you will often take ownership and development lead on several projects across a variety of clients. The nature of digital agency work means you will be working on a variety of projects at any one time and no day will be the same.


In the role you may also be involved in scoping meetings with clients where you will act as both an advisor and ask the questions you will need to help produce the specification. With this position, there is a very clear and exciting progression opportunity for those with the ability and drive to help mould the future of the incubator and digital agency.


Skills Needed


To be considered, the successful WordPress Developer will have:


  • At least 2-3 years of experience developing WordPress-based websites
  • Ability to set up, build, design and maintain sites
  • Experience in developing custom themes and plugins
  • Knowledge and understanding of PHP
  • The desire to want to learn new technical skills within a nurturing company
  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • First-class organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Advanced Custom Fields "ACF"
  • Woocommerce
  • Fluency in HTML5 & CSS3 & JavaScript, J Query
  • Ability to set up, build, design and maintain sites
  • Familiarity with MySQL, MAMP/WAMP & version control systems (Git, etc)
  • Beneficial: Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator experience.
