Wordpress Developer

Kompleks Creative is searching for a creative, problem-solving web developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge with coding websites from scratch using HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP on Microsoft and LAMP systems.

A strong understanding of developing websites from the ground up that integrate into custom theme development for WordPress and Drupal plays a key role in this position. We are looking for someone who is proficient in developing fluid and logical websites that can be easily managed by our clients while consistently maintaining a creative and passionate approach to every project at hand.

We are looking for candidates with portfolios that demonstrate expertise and passion for these elements. An online portfolio is required for consideration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Convert web designs provided by our creative team into fully coded and functional websites via custom themes you develop in WordPress or Drupal
• Integrate plugins, modules, or frameworks to enhance site functionality based on the client’s needs
• Enhance website interactivity via animations, transitions and micro-interactions using various techniques and libraries
• Train clients on updating and maintaining websites
• Perform maintenance on client websites including backups, updates and feature addition requests

PREFERRED

• Knowledge of JSON and methods to manipulate JSON data for site integration
• Experience with Adobe XD, Node.js, Python and GitHub
• Experience in SVG and CSS animations
• Experience in working with databases, primarily by importing/exporting tables in PHPMyAdmin
• WordPress plugin theme development

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of custom WordPress theme development experience
• Thorough expertise and hands-on experience with coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and PHP, with the ability to manipulate external APIs
• Extensive knowledge in responsive web development across all screen devices
• Experience in debugging issues related to site performance, functionality and browser compatibility
• Working knowledge of – and strong interest in – learning current web development best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)
• Experience and knowledge of Open Graph and social working APIs
• Experience with Rapid Prototyping
• Experience with MySQL and PHPMyAdmin
