Web Content Specialist | SEO + WordPress + Copywriting

Rise Local is seeking a Web Content Specialist to drive our content planning, production, and publishing workflow. In this role you are focused on planning and executing content plans for our SMB SEO content subscribers. Duties included defining keyword targets, copywriting page content, collecting relevant media, and loading it into WordPress. This is an extremely fast paced, customer facing role that requires direct collaboration with customers, sales reps and internal stakeholders while maintaining a rigorous publishing schedule.

In this role, you are the content strategist for our SMB customers. In this capacity, you will pitch content ideas, write content, collect media, and post it to WordPress. You are not required to build the websites. Instead your job is to fill existing sites with rich, compelling content that converts visitors into leads.

As a content strategist your day-to-day may involve reviewing SEO progress with customers, collaborating with field producers on media requirements, or doing quality control on websites that are staged to launch. You will need to run a very tight ship because your ultimate responsibility is making sure all our websites and subscription content get published on time.

At Rise Local we expect the web content specialist to be passionate about SEO. You are a self starter who is eager to learn our WordPress publishing stack that is fully optimized for local organic search results.

Additional Requirements

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define SEO goals, pitch content ideas, write copy, load media, publish content, and review the results.
• Build trust and win the confidence of Rise Local's website and subscription content subscribers.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders (developers, designers, sales reps, customers, etc) to ensure the client's marketing goals are achieved.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred
• 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred
• A strong desire to learn Wordpress and Local SEO a must
• Desire to collaborate with designers, developers, creatives, and marketing experts to achieve customer goals
• Demonstrate aptitude and strong desire master keyword research and content gap analysis
• Familiarity with SEO marketing tools (ex: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, MOZ, AWR)
• Proficients with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets, Gmail)
• Impeccable spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and task management skills
• Team player
