Front End WordPress Developer

£28K - £33K negotiable basic salary (depending on experience) Hybrid work options, 1-2 times per month from offices in Coventry Opportunity to progress at an exciting Group of Companies Would you like to build, maintain, and improve websites in an emerging sector that KPMG predict will prevent 25,000 accidents and 2,500 per year by 2030? Investment and client backing in this Group of Companies is significant. They have 18 new colleagues starting in January 2023, and are on a path to becoming a PLC over the next 5 years. Are you up for the challenge? As a WordPress Developer, your initial projects will include re-designing and optimising a client led membership focused website and a new build for a recruitment services website. You must be highly competent at building dashboards and designing attractive websites in a WordPress environment.


Your duties will include: Coding throughout staging, development, testing and deployment of the project Monitor, maintain and update of portfolio of websites (own company, project sites and client) Build products using HTML, CS, Javascript, PHP, and other relevant coding languages Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy websites and applications in a cross-platform, cross browser environment Identify and fix bugs Create pixel perfect landing pages and websites based on company UI designs Optimising for SEO, page speed, google analytics etc Designing and implementing new features and functionality

Requirements Must have skills and experience required for this role: Highly competent with WordPress development and front-end technologies including, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery Building user interfaces for websites and/or applications PHP Designing and developing responsive websites Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc. Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working web pages Benefits Basic salary up to £33K (depending on experience) Opportunity to progress in fast growing and highly invested company in a hot sector Hybrid working options with requirements for office based work in Coventry 2-3 times per month Ability to negotiate holiday entitlement above your legal entitlement Growing suite of soft employment benefits (including wellbeing, discounts with retailers, insurances etc)
