WordPress Web Designer

WordPress Web Designer needed to build websites using the Salient theme.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking to contract a freelance WordPress Web Designer for upcoming web design projects at our Agency. Most of our web design projects are built on WordPress using a theme called Salient. Most websites range between 3 to 10 pages. We will provide training as needed on how to use the Salient theme, but you must already have proficient web design skills and experience using WordPress themes and building sites on WordPress. The ideal candidate for this position must live in Atlanta, GA, be fluent in English, organized, reliable, trustworthy, and coachable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Research and get web design inspiration based on the web project's scope of work.

- Build websites and web pages utilizing the Salient theme and features.

- Design graphic elements for web pages.

- Research, download, compress, resize, and upload stock images to web pages.

- Implement and organize any and all written copy to web pages in a creative and legible way.

- Install and properly implement necessary WordPress plugins.

- Update and deploy related website updates as needed.

- Troubleshoot website errors and issues.

- Work within our project management tool and communicate as often as needed during all web projects.

- Attend trainings and meetings as requested.

- Interact with our team to share and discuss design and functionality ideas for web projects.

- Work independently or collaborate with our team or as part of our team as needed.

- Execute and submit all deliverables while also adhering to rigorous deadlines.

- Work onsite at our office at least 1 day a week.

- Remain organized, multi-task, and work well under pressure.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in web design.

- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress.

- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design.

- Must have an eye for clean and artful web design.

- Must have an online portfolio of work.

- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

- Must have experience working on multiple website projects at one time.

- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and outstanding attention to detail.

- Must maintain high quality on creative and presentation deliverables.

- Must have excellent communication skills.

- Must have a high degree of integrity and work ethic.

- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
