At our Red-Fern Burnley HQ, we’re looking for a creative WordPress developer, with expertise in front-end technologies. Your primary role will be to successfully transform approved designs and prototypes into functioning, interactive, engaging, pixel-perfect websites or web applications for our clients.
As a key member of the development team, you’ll work on a variety of digital projects for our clients. You’ll build mobile-first, interactive, cross-browser compatible, high-performing websites in Laravel and WordPress, as well as collaborating with our in-house team of designers to help ensure design concepts are in line with technology and budget limitations, allowing for smooth project delivery.
As with most web development roles there will be some crossover into backend technologies. For example, if a website is built in WordPress, having experience in PHP is advantageous.
You’ll work collaboratively in an experienced, highly capable team of developers who all push each other to be the best at what they do. You’re passionate about digital technologies, as well as wanting to to continuously strive to improve your craft and push the boundaries of technology.
We’ll make sure you’re kept up-to-date with the latest technologies and allow you the flexibility to explore and develop your skills in wider areas of development through training, mentoring, pair programming, and code reviews. As an example, our Technical Director is creating a programme which will allow members of our development team to learn webGL, allowing them to develop immersive 3D websites (so you’ll be working on some pretty exciting projects).
