Position Summary: As an Engineer, you will collaborate with a small team (usually 2-4 individuals) to design and develop systems and applications and implement software solutions. We are an entrepreneurial team looking for a customer-obsessed, self-starting engineer who has good business acumen, is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and is excited about building software that solves business problems. In this role you will actively build and maintain the marketing applications hosted on the WordPress platform.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Own daily delivery tasks as related to the marketing applications.
• Develop software components and end-to-end implementations using Web based technologies and integration/middleware tools.
• Effectively translate business requirements into systems solutions.
• Document functional flows and update application documentation.
• Respond promptly to internal and external customer requests.
• Participate in design sessions and development of assigned projects.
• Ensuring application security and compliance.
• Execute daily, iteration and project level tasks on time and within committed timeframes.
• Work collaboratively with the marketing organization to understand the requirements and provide technical solutions to solve the business needs.
• Occasional travel as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related degree with an information technology focus.
• 1-2 years of development experience in software engineering.
• An equivalent combination of the education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job will be considered.

Skills & Abilities Required

• A talented and driven software engineer who wants to work on challenging and complex technology problems with a smart and highly effective team.
• Working knowledge of the fundamentals of the WordPress application.
• Knowledge of database design, operations, and management with systems like MySQL.
• Working knowledge of frontend languages such as CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.
• Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex concepts.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, relationship building and collaboration skills.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
