Job Summary:

As a WordPress Web Developer at Elicus, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress plugins and websites that are reliable, secure, and efficient. You will work closely with our design and development teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions that meet those requirements. You will be expected to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that is optimized for performance and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress plugins that are reliable, secure, and efficient.
• Collaborate with the design and development teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions that meet those requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that is optimized for performance and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other developers to ensure that code quality and standards are maintained.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest WordPress development trends and technologies, and incorporate them into your work where appropriate.
• Continuously iterate and improve code based on user feedback and data analysis.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure that development goals and priorities are aligned with business goals.
• Work with other team members to resolve technical issues and bugs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in WordPress web development, with a strong understanding of the WordPress platform and its underlying technologies.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL.
• Experience with WordPress plugin and theme development, and a deep understanding of the WordPress core codebase.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Experience with WordPress performance optimization and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with other programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
• Experience with other CMS platforms such as Drupal or Joomla.
• Experience with server administration and configuration.
