Job Responsibilities

• Convert designs from Figma into pixel-perfect responsive web pages.
• Develop custom Gutenberg blocks using Carbon fields or ACF.
• Maintain sites built with Elementor and Gutenberg.
• Work closely with designers on implementing designs into code.
• Measure and optimise overall web page performances.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are delivered in a timely fashion.
• Provide timely and accurate estimates for project deliverables.
• Hands-on troubleshooting, debugging and fixing of issues during development and post-release for customer support.
• Write and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Participate in sprint planning discussions.
• Client communication and project management.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional web development experience.
• A sophisticated understanding of HTML semantics and ARIA roles, and knowing their correct application.
• Proficient in writing maintainable CSS / SCSS with a strong understanding of Flexbox & experience working with responsive web design CSS frameworks, such as Bootstrap / Semantic UI.
• Expert level knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript, ES6, jQuery and at least one popular library such as React or Vue.
• Familiar with build tools such as Parcel, WebPack and Gulp.
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress custom theme development, template hierarchies, hooks and filter.
• Experience with implementing blocks using Gutenberg in WordPress.
• Solid experience in PHP as a programming language.
• An impressive portfolio and project profile demo.

Additional Skill

• Good understanding of a relational database like MySQL/MariaDB.
• Solid understanding of agile development practices including sprints, epics, user stories and development tasks.
• Experience with version control, ideally Git.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills as you will be working closely with designers, project managers and occasionally clients.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of open-source WordPress theme boilerplates and differences between them.
• Familiar working with tools like Figma.
• Experience working with WordPress as Headless CMS.
• Familiarity with cloud providers, such as Cloudways, WP Engine, AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Digital Ocean.
• Experience with Docker will be a plus point.

Employment type: Full-time

Salary Range: 55 000-80 000BDT
