Job Title: Senior WordPress Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience developing custom WordPress solutions, a strong understanding of WordPress development best practices, and experience leading and mentoring other developers. You should be able to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code and have a passion for building scalable, maintainable, and optimized WordPress websites and applications that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing feedback, and reviewing code
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to build and deploy new WordPress projects
• Optimize WordPress websites and applications for performance, security, and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to WordPress development
• Keep up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and technologies
• Evaluate and recommend new WordPress plugins, themes, and tools to improve the development process

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in WordPress development
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
• Knowledge of WordPress core functions, hooks, and filters
• Understanding of front-end technologies such as jQuery, AngularJS, and ReactJS
• Knowledge of WordPress performance optimization techniques and best practices
• Experience with Git version control
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with WooCommerce and other WordPress e-commerce plugins
• Knowledge of REST APIs and how to integrate them with WordPress
• Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Beaver Builder, and Divi
• Experience with website speed optimization and Google PageSpeed Insights
• Experience with other CMS platforms such as Drupal, Joomla, and Magento
