Wordpress Developer

This job location is in Park Ridge, IL. Salary is negotiable on skill set. We are seeking a WordPress Developer to join our quickly growing family! You will develop and implement unique web-based applications, along with supporting already created applications and processes. We are a consulting company, so much of the development is for our customers. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, hardworking, and versatile to work in our fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities. The candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate highly technical, complicated information to multiple departments throughout our organization and to our clients. The candidate we are looking for loves programming but especially loves product development -- the collaborative process of many teams, including engineering, working together to create something awesome for people to use. Responsibilities: * Design, create, and modify websites * Convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible web formats * Create back-end code and interfaces for new web platforms * Analyze user needs to implement website content, graphics, performance, and capacity * Integrate websites with other computer applications * Keep up-to-date on web developments and trends Qualifications: * Previous experience in web development or other related fields * Previous experience managing Wordpress websites * Previous experience with Wordpress website development; theme interaction and plugin development * Familiarity with HTML, Javascript, or other related languages * Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills * Strong attention to detail * A desire to understand the next generation of web technology. * Experience developing / architecting web applications. * Database Experience - MySQL or other relational databases. * Experience creating database schemas that represent and support applications and business processes. * Strong Mobile First (responsive) skills. * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. * Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
