Job Duties and Responsibilities
i) Product Research
Plan, ideate, and execute market research on consumers, competitors, and market trends using both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Project the costs of developing and marketing a product, as well as potential sales and profit
Drive consumer intelligence through the development of external and internal data sources
ii) Product Customization & Configuration
Planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining new features and functionality on WordPress-designed websites, micro sites, landing pages, and modular components to meet the product requirements, and industry standards, and within budget.
Establishing and guiding the website architecture and ensuring the backup and server integration are well managed.
Preparing and maintaining the transferable codebase with high reusability in compliance with DevOps policies. Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into working themes and plugins.
Facilitate connections between databases and WordPress components and manage all the technical aspects of CMS (content management system) to ensure the system is high-performance, readily available, and with minimum technical challenges.
iii) Product Analytics
Create dashboards to monitor the progress of various product requirements and the performance of the running product to make data-driven reports to stakeholders frequently
Use quantitative analysis and data visualization to see beyond the numbers and understand what drives product success.
Validate assumptions & hypotheses by conducting research, performing experiments, and analyzing results. and analyze causes for metric deviations and make recommendations
Create, publish, and update high-quality and effective technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Preparing flow diagrams and mock-ups for a ground-level understanding of the proposed solution and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders have a clear understanding of it
iv) Product Marketing & Success
Create strong, consistent, and customer-focused narratives that clearly articulate the vision for our product, goals, and its path to success
Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with customers and differentiates our product from its competitors.
Collaborate with the marketing team to maximize digital marketing results with defined KPIs
Continuously upgrade knowledge on technology changes, and user experience and evaluate the impact on our product.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
6+ months experience in WordPress development and a passion for product management
Good understanding of PHP back-end development and front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN, and debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Possess analysis skills to take data as input and output actionable recommendations;
Solid technical background with an understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
