Wordpress Developer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring a high level of quality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing, responsive, and mobile-first designs.
- Integrate with external APIs and third-party services to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
- Optimize website performance through caching, code minification, and image optimization techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, working closely with other team members to ensure timely resolution.
- Adhere to WordPress coding standards and best practices while staying updated with the latest industry trends.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal website performance and stability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members, as needed.
- Participate in project planning and contribute to estimating timelines and resource requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- In-depth knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Strong understanding of the WordPress core, architecture, and best practices.
- Experience with popular page builders, such as Elementor, Divi, or Beaver Builder.
- Familiarity with the WordPress REST API and integration with third-party services.
- Proficient with version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience with website performance optimization, including caching, code minification, and image optimization.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and techniques.
- Strong understanding of website security principles and best practices.
- Experience with web hosting environments and server management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A strong portfolio showcasing custom WordPress projects.
