Job Title: Wordpress Developer

Position Type: 6 month contract-to-hire

Rate: $42-55 Per Hour to convert to $85K - $110K plus benefits

Work Location: Charlotte, NC preferred

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holder, or Authorized to work in US

Job Description:

• 5+ years experience with Wordpress:
• Familiarity with built-in WordPress Page Build (Classic or Gutenburg)
• Experience with php, css, html, js
• Site creation & build experience - Single & Multisites
• ADA/AODA accessibility compliance - site improvements and fixes
• Plugin creation experience preferred
• Experience with API key integration preferred
• Food/Dining site development preferred
• Takes ownership of the timely delivery of work assigned at high quality standards
• Strong troubleshooting and learning capabilities
• Likes change and can adapt easily to changing priorities
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees and all types of customers (both technical and non-technical personnel)
• Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies
• Works well as a member of a team, shares knowledge and consults with others for best solutions
• Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Wordpress templates and sites across Compass relative to user requests and ADA/AODA compliance
• Active participation and collaboration with Cloud Services Team in grooming sessions to address technical concerns, drive creative solutions, and ensure User Stories addresses the business needs.
• Collaborate with the Cloud Services team to ensure best practices are being followed on the team
• Genesis / Elementor / Divi theme builder experience
