Kaii Lab is excited to announce that we are looking for a talented full-time Web Developer to join our team!

The ideal candidate must have prior work experience and must have an outstanding portfolio of websites developed.

Also, the ideal candidate must be experienced in WordPress and other PHP web content management systems. We are looking for a detail-oriented and deadline-driven individual who conducts regular research and is up-to-date with website development trends.

The web developer’s responsibilities include communicating with clients to determine website specifications, creating schedules, writing code, working with a team of designers and content writers, as well as reporting regularly to the Web Development Lead.

Job Responsibilities

• Creating comprehensive layouts and wireframes and converting them into functional front-end code
• Developing responsively designed websites that accurately match website UI/UX designs created using company-approved content management systems
• Developing websites across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones, tablets, and 4k screens
• Performing complete website quality assurance and performance testing
• Implementing a complete website audit
• Writing website documentation
• Building reusable website components and libraries for future use
• Interpreting client specifications and identifying website user requirements
• Participating in sprint planning and discussions
• Creating timelines and work schedules to meet deadlines
• Using and updating company-wide online project management software to track activities
• Updating records and writing status update reports for websites working on
• Communicating effectively with clients and teams
• Updating records and writing reports
• Debugging websites and ensuring website documentation is updated
• Performing regular website maintenance, support, and updates
• Working closely with UI/UX Designer to ensure website design matches website development
• Working closely with Content Head & SEM Lead in a dynamic environment to ensure content added to the website match content, SEO, and SEM goals for the project
• Liaising with Account Managers to keep clients informed as well as highlight and resolve any issues
• Reporting to Web Development Lead regularly to ensure website development goals and timelines are achieved
• Attending stand-ups on a weekly basis with Web Development Lead
• Filling out and attending monthly reviews with Web Development Lead to better understand your performance, be aware of any areas of improvement and recognize all your achievements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, IT, or a related field
• Experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, and associated themes and plugins
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Experience with any of the following code versioning tools: GitHub, Bitbucket, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Experience building well-designed user interfaces for various websites
• Experience developing responsively designed websites
• Experience in fixing website bugs and performing general website maintenance
• Experience with website hosting tools such as WP Engine and SiteGround
• Ability to work in an agile/SCRUM team environment.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Umbraco, or Webflow is a bonus
