WordPress Developer

SCOPE OF THE JOB:
Seeking an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our Tech team.
Will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

    • Strong understanding of latest industry trends and content management systems.
    • Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
    • Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
    • Ensure high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
    • Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

    • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6 or above)
    • Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
    • Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
    • Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
    • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
    • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
    • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
    • Proficient understanding of Git
    • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
    • This position is 100% remote.
    • Evening or weekend work may be required on occasion.
    • The candidate must possess a stable, high-speed internet connection and working cell phone.
    • May occasionally be asked to travel on an annual basis for company summits or team retreats.
    • The candidate is responsible for being available online daily during normal business hours (9am-5pm local) and must be available 'on call' to ensure assigned web properties are fully functioning, without bugs or downtime.
